The Faith Necklace
Brand new starts.
Many times as I’m designing, I’ll be listening to music and the right song with the right message I need to hear comes on. I then play that song on repeat to soak it all in and almost every time the piece of jewelry mirrors the song. I’ve had this strand of gorgeous faceted Crystal quartz that was finally calling my name. So, as I’m playing around with layout, Laura Story’s “I give up” song played and the words that caught me were: “So here’s my life to take. Though You’ve heard this prayer 1000 other days. Make this moment be more than just empty words I say.. let it be a start.. to know the fullness of my father’s heart. Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to Thee.” Aren’t the words of this song so perfect for this clean, clear stone? Yet, the stone although beautiful, isn’t perfect. It has imperfect markings because it’s real. It’s real stone that has been put through quite a process to make it what it is today.
